Dr. Joseph Bauer

Bio

Dr. Joseph Bauer attended Roanoke College for undergraduate school, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City, and completed his 3 year surgical residency at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Bauer strives to provide quality, compassionate healthcare to his patients, bringing a warm, uplifting energy to everyone he meets. He believes in treating his patients as his family, and works to ensure that each visit is a positive one.

He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He is thrilled to be joining Rio Grande Foot and Ankle Specialists, returning to Santa Fe after having previously served as a stage crew apprentice at the Santa Fe Opera.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Bauer loves to read, listen to music, watch films, hike, and ski. He plays the drums, paints masterpieces, and continues to build his record and comic book collections. His dog Winston remains the most spoiled dog in the entire world.
